Watanabe Sake Brewery is located in the historic town of Hida Furukawa in Gifu Prefecture, and was founded in 1870. W Series sakes are made to order in limited quantities.
W "Akaiwa Omachi" Junmai Muroka Genshu is brewed from Omachi sake rice grown in the Akaiwa district in Okayama Prefecture and polished to 50%.
When you pour this sake, the lovely aromas of sweet and sour pears are evident. The strong, bold flavors of this sake bloom in the mouth with a lingering rich flavor. The finish has a sharp, dry spiciness. This sake is a must-have for Omachi lovers! Serve chilled or at room temperature.
