Sake Events - Upcoming Events with The Sake Sommelier Association (SSA)!

On March 2nd, we'll be hosting the Sake Sommelier of the Year - North America competition alongside the Craft Sake Festival run by the Sake Brewers Association of North America.

As with our previous Sake Sommelier of the Year® competitions, this event aims to seek out the best Sake Sommeliers from across the continent, with the goal of crowning the top Sake Sommelier®; recognizing them for their skills and raising their profile on an international level! Sake Sommelier of the Year was first held in London in 2013; and now, over a decade since that first competition, we're thrilled to have the inaugural edition of the event in North America, after previous competitions in Europe and Asia.

Applications for the Sake Sommelier of the Year® competition are now open. Those of you who are Certified Sake Sommeliers or have earned a high level sake certification such as WSET Level 3 in Sake, SSI International Kikizake-shi, or equivalent are welcome to compete.
