True Sake – The “New Guy”
As you all know by now, we do not have a lot of turnover of employees at True Sake. This is not because the boss is awesome, well sort of, but what truly is awesome is the sake itself and that’s what keeps the team interested and in tact. So every once in a while we get a new employee, and we feel it’s important to share that person’s love of sake with you!
Alex Bemis is laser-focused on learning about sake. He came to us from the Hitachino Nest Wagyu & Beer Bar, which is owned by the Kiuchi family, who just so happen to brew sake as well. Alex has spent a good deal slinging Kiuchi sake and learning about how sake speaks to people in different capacities. (Side Note – The Kiuchi Brewery will have a table at Sake Day’18 pouring their wares and we will soon have several of these brews at True Sake.)
So I usually ask the person to write their own hello to the True Sake customers and herewith read Alex in his own words:
“Hey there sake fanatics! My name is Alex and I’m the “new dude”. You can catch me at the shop Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I am obsessed with sake and if you ask me for a recommendation I have at least one answer for every category. Head to the “team picks” section on our website to find my top 5. Stop by the store and expect to be greeted with my friendly smile and eagerness to answer all of your sake queries. Kanpai!”
