Are you ready to get this party started? Kaiun is a really tremendous brewery in Shizuoka Prefecture and it makes Shizuoka style sake. And what may that be? Well for me, and I am thinking about the Isojiman style. It’s full in flavor with lots of body. There is a lot of glucose in their sakes, which give them body weight and a lot of mouth feel.

This brew was only available in the 1.8L form for the longest time, but we now have the 300ml! I’ve been waiting for a long time for Kaiun to release more of their amazing products in the States and feel sort of cheated that their importers have not pursued them. Enjoy this brew in a white wine glass as it has a lot of wine-like qualities with the feel and the acidity push. And when you fall in love with the little guy then buy a 1.8L bigger sister for the real value and real party!
