Kotsuzumi Rojo Hana Ari Junmai Daiginjo "Bloom on the Path"
The nose on this classic Hyogo Junmai Daiginjo made with local Yamadanishiki rice is a mild collection of citrus, daikon, cantaloupe, strawberry, apple, cereal, and a hint of cream aromas. For almost two decades, this has been a stalwart sake on the Top Shelf at True Sake. Fans love the Italian glass bottle and design, and really love the elegant and old school sake within. Is this a super simple sake or is it wickedly complex? Clean, light, smooth, silky with a nice watery viscosity, it is a rice lover’s brew that is very pristine with a dry finish. Look for berry, pear, nougat, rice candy, persimmon, lemon peel, watermelon, and cocoa flavors that glide through the palate with a clean and slick flow that speaks to those who enjoy the “like water” experience that is void of alcohol and acidity. A classic Junmai Daiginjo gifting and drinking experience.
