The nose on this seasonally released single-pasteurized brew is an amazing collection of pear, cantaloupe, apple, mango, papaya, guava, ginger, and sweet rice aromas. Some sakes just win! This brew is one of those that is so flavorful and drinkable that it’s just not fair. Smooth, lush, velvety, and juicy this drinks very much like 3-D Junmai Daiginjo sake that is plump and bright. Look for an array of fruity flavors such mango, pear, fuji apple, watermelon, strawberries, grapefruit, guava, powder sugar, and grape that glide with a fluffy flow over the palate. There is a sneaky mineral finish, which is dry for all of the fruit action and the drinkability is off the charts. WORD: Juicy WINE: Juicy reds/Plump whites BEER: Fruity Ales FOODS: Crab, lobster, shrimp, oysters, rich fare, International spice, tacos, and steamed white fish.
